The VI Water Innovation Day, hosted by the Catalan Water Partnership (CWP) on 14 February 2024, showcased groundbreaking solutions to address Catalonia’s pressing water challenges. With a focus on fostering knowledge exchange regarding technological advancements and Research & Development (R&D) initiatives, this event played a pivotal role in advancing sustainable water management in the region.
Against the backdrop of Catalonia’s ongoing water emergency exacerbated by drought conditions, the event drew a significant crowd of 135 attendees keen on exploring the latest developments in water management. One highlight was the elevator pitch presentation by Olga Ferrer, representing the LIFE INDESAL team. LIFE INDESAL was selected as the best R&D project by those attending the event, underscoring the pivotal role of their work in pioneering solutions for sustainable water usage in Catalonia.
Featuring interesting presentations and networking sessions, the event facilitated dynamic exchanges among participants, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing. Emphasising drought-related projects aligned with the CWP’s ongoing efforts to confront water scarcity challenges in Catalonia. By showcasing pioneering initiatives like LIFE INDESAL, the Water Innovation Day served as a catalyst for driving progress and fostering resilience in the face of water-related crises.
